Job Description

nDuko Health is a staffing agency working on behalf of a long term care facility in Boise, Idaho. This role places a Registered Nurse into that facility to provide direct, hands on nursing care to residents in a long term care setting. The nurse in this role is responsible for bedside care, medication administration, treatments, and ongoing monitoring of resident health status.

REPORTS TO AND TEAM

This position reports to the Director of Nursing or designated nursing supervisor at the partner long term care facility. The nurse works as part of a collaborative care team that includes other nurses, certified nursing assistants, and facility clinical staff, alongside coordination support from nDuko Health.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Delivers direct bedside nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policy and care plans.

- Administers medications accurately and on schedule, following physician orders and facility protocols.

- Performs prescribed treatments, including wound care and other clinical interventions as ordered.

- Monitors resident vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, and identifies changes that require follow up.

- Documents care provided, resident status, and any incidents in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.

- Communicates resident status and care needs clearly with physicians, families, and the care team.

- Responds to resident and family concerns with attentiveness consistent with a patient focused approach.

- Follows infection control, safety, and emergency response procedures.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

- Assists with onboarding or orienting new nursing staff as needed.

- Participates in facility quality improvement or care planning meetings.

- Supports care coordination across shifts through clear handoff communication.

- Performs other related duties as assigned that support resident care and facility operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Idaho, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start.

- At least 1 year of relevant clinical nursing experience. Employers may consider new graduates for this role at their discretion.

- Current CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start.

- Working knowledge of medication administration, treatment protocols, and resident monitoring practices in a clinical setting.

Preferred:

- Prior experience in a long term care or skilled nursing facility.

- Specialty certification in areas such as wound care or IV therapy.

- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role regularly requires standing and walking for extended periods, assisting with resident transfers and repositioning, and moving equipment or supplies up to 30 pounds. The role also requires close visual attention for medication administration and documentation, and the ability to respond quickly to resident needs. The work takes place in a long term care facility setting. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals who need them to perform the essential functions of this role.

COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION

This is an hourly position and is expected to be classified as non-exempt (overtime eligible), pending confirmation based on actual duties performed. Hourly rates- $35 to $45 an hour, Actual pay depends on experience, specialty certifications, shift, and staffing arrangement.

This position is located in Boise, Idaho, at a long term care facility partnered with nDuko Health.
