Larry H. Miller Dealerships' Job DescriptionEntry Level Technician - HourlyPrimary Responsibilities:The Entry Level Technician II is expected to:

Protect the legal, financial and moral wellbeing of the Larry H. Miller Dealerships'.Perform lube, oil, filter and multipoint service for customer vehicles.Seek ways to improve business operation efficiencies and customer service.Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful.

Reports to: Service Manager

Essential Job Functions:More than half of pay consists of commissions on goods and/or services.

    Ensure Maximum Production and Customer Service.
  1. Perform all lube, oil, filter and multi-point inspection processes to ensure proper diagnoses.
  2. Assess any supplemental vehicle needs.
  3. Perform quality service at all times and notify management of any substandard processes, parts or procedures.
  4. Achieve customer service satisfaction through prompt and accurate service and communication.
  5. Follow policies and procedures as per your specific manufacturer(s) manual.
  6. Maintain employee, customer and vendor confidence while protecting operations by exercising discretion when handling sensitive confidential information.
  7. Complete and maintain all Larry H. Miller Dealerships' required training.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements.
  9. Maintain ability to handle job stress and effective interaction with others in the workplace.
  10. Perform all other job duties as requested by management.

  14. Work performed in a dealership setting due to the location of customer vehicles and shop supplies.
  15. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls and move about facilities.
  16. Required vision include close, vision, distance, peripheral and the ability to adjust focus.
  17. Required to lift-up to a minimum of 100lbs.
  18. Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives.
  19. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions precedent at that time.
  20. Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
  21. Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by department supervisor/manager.
  22. In general, this position is assigned regular business hours; however, it is typical to work more than 40 hours per week.Minimum Qualifications:
  23. Education
  24. High school diploma or the equivalent.
  25. Experience
  26. 1 year as a technician's apprentice.
  27. Certifications
  28. Maintain valid driver's license and MVR record within company policy requirements.
  29. Applicable Factory training credentials.
  30. Local state safety inspection and emissions license preferred.
  31. Skills

  37. Repairing- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
  38. Troubleshooting- Determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  39. Quality Control Analysis- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  40. Knowledge
  41. Knowledge of Larry H. Miller Dealerships' current company management systems desirable.
  42. Interacting with Computers- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
  43. English Language- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  44. Customer and Personal Service- Knowledge of principles and process for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  45. Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  46.
