Job Description:

Alantra is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Vice President to join its Healthcare M&A and capital raising advisory practice in New York City. The ideal candidate will bring 6-8 years of relevant investment banking experience, strong execution skills, and a proven ability to originate and lead client engagements.

VPs at Alantra are entrusted with substantial responsibility in both deal execution and business development. They work directly with Managing Directors and Partners to manage transactions end-to-end, lead client interactions, and mentor junior professionals. The environment at Alantra is both collegial and entrepreneurial. Leaders at all levels welcome innovative ideas and offer extensive career development opportunities for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transaction execution across buy-side and sell-side M&A and capital raising processes.
  • Oversee financial modeling, valuation analyses, and preparation of marketing materials.
  • Manage due diligence workstreams and coordinate with clients, counterparties, and advisors.
  • Actively contribute to business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, preparing pitch materials, and participating in client meetings.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Analysts and Associates, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Support the growth of the Healthcare practice through thought leadership, sector insights, and relationship-building with corporates, investors, and strategic partners.

Why Alantra

Alantra offers a unique opportunity for senior professionals to work in a high-growth, entrepreneurial platform while benefiting from the resources of a global firm. VPs in Healthcare will gain exposure to complex, cross-border transactions and collaborate with colleagues across Europe, the U.S., Latin America, and Asia.

  • Team-oriented, collaborative culture.
  • Significant career advancement opportunities within a meritocratic structure.
  • Exposure to a global client base and cross-border deal flow.
  • Competitive compensation (salary + performance-based bonus).
  • Comprehensive healthcare and benefits package (medical, dental, vision, HRA/FSA options).
  • 401k with company match, fitness reimbursement, and commuter benefits.
  • International offsites, firmwide events, and community service initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of investment banking experience in M&A, capital raising, or transaction advisory; healthcare sector expertise strongly preferred.
  • Strong academic background; bachelor's degree required (business, finance, economics, or related field). MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and execute transactions with a track record of client engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of valuation methodologies, capital structures, and transaction processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required).
