HOATalent is hiring on behalf of The CAM CollectiveSALARY: $55,000 base, expected $110,000 OTE w/$1,500 in commissions guaranteed in the first three months.

Location: Chicago preferred, though flexible. This is a fully remote position. Travel to Chicago will be required quarterly.
About the Role:
We are hiring an M&A Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive outbound outreach and generate deal flow.
This role is focused on:
- Cold calling and outbound prospecting
- Building pipeline from scratch
- Engaging directly with business owners (CEO/founders)
- Qualifying acquisition opportunities
This is a high-activity, execution-focused role, not a strategy or consulting position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
- Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition targets
- Identify and engage business owners, founders, and CEOs
- Qualify opportunities for potential acquisition
- Schedule and run introductory calls with prospects
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce)
- Conduct ongoing follow-up with prospects over long sales cycles
- Support deal flow by gathering key business information
- Attend industry events and conferences (as needed)
Requirements
- 2–4 years in one of the following:
- BDR / SDR
- Business Development
- Inside Sales / Outbound Sales
- Proven experience with:
- Cold calling / outbound prospecting
- Pipeline generation (not just closing)
- Experience using CRM tools:
- Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
- Comfortable speaking with:
- Business owners / decision-makers
Preferred:
- Experience in:
- M&A, Private Equity, or Deal Sourcing
- OR selling into SMB / mid-market companies
- Experience with:
- ZoomInfo, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
What Success Looks Like:
- Consistently hitting outbound activity targets (calls, emails)
- Generating qualified meetings with business owners
- Building a strong, trackable pipeline
- Contributing to closed acquisition deals
