Job Purpose:
- The MA/MS Emergency Evaluator - Shift 3 at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing comprehensive emergency mental health evaluations and crisis intervention services. The role requires the evaluator to assess the mental health needs of individuals in crisis, determine appropriate levels of care, and facilitate admissions or referrals to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough emergency mental health evaluations for individuals presenting in crisis.
- Assess clients' mental health status, risk factors, and immediate needs to determine appropriate interventions.
- Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to stabilize clients and provide immediate support.
- Collaborate with medical staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.
- Facilitate admissions to appropriate inpatient or outpatient programs based on evaluation findings.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of assessments, interventions, and recommendations in clients' records.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mental health resources and referral options within the community.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in emergency mental health evaluation and crisis intervention.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards related to mental health assessments and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with law enforcement, emergency services, and other community partners to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
