Job Description
MachineAssembler - RWT Corp dba Schaefer Machine and Potdevin MachineDuties and Responsibilities:
An Assembler should work well within a team-based environment and collaborate with people from other departments.Common responsibilities for an Assembler are:
- Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Produce components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies.
- Positions and aligns components and parts.
- Uses hand/power tools or machines to assemble parts.
- Test finishes products for defects.
- Maintains the tools used to create products.
- Keeps a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Follows company procedures and safety rules.
- Performs other job duties as requested by shop manager.
Education and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
- Safety management mindset.
- Basic computer skills (familiarity with ERP systems a plus)
- Good communication skills in English - both written and verbal
- Forklift operator a plus but not needed. Will train.
- Mechanical aptitude - understanding machinery and fit-up/assembly repair.
