Job Description
Automated Machine Design Engineer!
1st Shift - Direct Hire position!
Job Summary: The position is responsible for designing automated equipment ranging from simple workstations, tooling and fixtures to large complex automated systems. The candidate will also interface with customers and manage projects
Responsibilities
- Design automated machines, sub-assemblies and/or individual parts utilizing CAD software and pre-established rough concepts. This includes the selection of materials as well as commercial items
- Interface with commercial component suppliers to verify product features, functionality, cost and availability
- Assist with developing concepts for automated equipment projects
- Develop quotations for new automation proposals on an as-needed basis
- Manage and provide input, direction and feedback for specific projects
Qualifications
- Minimum of a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or other applicable engineering field
- Computer Automated Drafting (CAD) experience is preferred, with an emphasis on 3D modeling
- Industrial equipment design experience is preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and as well as a strong problem-solving background
