Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with SolidWorks including part modeling, assemblies, configurations, and production drawings
- Experience designing custom machinery, automation equipment, or industrial tooling
- Familiarity with reverse engineering existing equipment and creating manufacturing drawings
- Proficiency with DraftSight or AutoCAD for technical drafting
- Working knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and resolving design issues
- Experience modernizing legacy designs and engineering documentation repeatedly preferred
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and maintain detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
- Convert legacy 2D drawings into detailed 3D SolidWorks models and production documentation
- Design and modify tooling, fixtures, and machine components following established standards
- Support the design and improvement of custom industrial machinery and automation equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design, build, and testing phases
