Job Description
Job Title: Machine OperatorLocation: Grand Island, NEPay Rate: $18.00/hour (DOE)Shift: 1st Shift | Monday Friday, 6: 00 AM 4: 30 PMJob DescriptionWe are currently hiring a Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Grand Island, NE. This is a great entry-level manufacturing opportunity with training provided and strong potential to become a permanent employee. If you re dependable, safety-minded and looking for long-term stability, this role could be a great fit.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of fabrication machines including shears, punches and forming equipment
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures and angle/depth/radius gauges
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes or other material-handling methods
- Identify and complete reject and scrap tickets as needed
- Recognize and select appropriate tooling such as dies, punches, and templates
- Complete daily steel reports and required documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Willing to train manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Desire for job longevity and long-term employment
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment
