Job Title: Coating Machine OperatorPay: $21.75/hourSchedule: 7:00pm - 7:00am
Job Summary
The Coating Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining coating machines to apply finishes to paper products. This role ensures consistent production quality, troubleshoots equipment issues, and maintains safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate coating machines according to production specifications
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and quality standards
- Adjust machine settings based on paper grade and coating requirements
- Troubleshoot mechanical or process issues and implement corrective actions
- Inspect finished products for defects such as coating inconsistencies, color variation, or thickness issues
- Maintain continuous production by joining rolls and assisting with changeovers
- Work collaboratively with machine crew during setups and transitions
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and work area
- Maintain accurate production logs, including machine settings, batch numbers, and inspection results
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Basic math skills for measurements and machine adjustments
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
