Molder Machine Operator

Location- Portland, OR

Work Arrangement- Onsite

Starting Rate - $26/hour

1st Shift- Shift: 3:30 AM - 2:00 PM

What you'll do

⦿ Molding Operations: Operate machinery to create sand molds used for metal castings, ensuring molds meet quality standards through careful judgment and experience.

⦿ Material Handling: Monitor and manage the characteristics and consistency of sand and additives used in molding to maintain product integrity.

⦿ Repetitive Task Execution: Perform repetitive tasks involving extensive wrist, arm, and shoulder use for up to 8 to 10 hours, maintaining focus and precision.

⦿ Machine Familiarity: Maintain intimate knowledge of molding and core machines, running both automated mold and core machines efficiently.

⦿ Quality Control: Assess the quality of finished molds and make adjustments as necessary to meet production standards.

⦿ Physical Requirements: Utilize upper body strength and proper lifting techniques to handle materials safely.

⦿ Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel required; role is primarily onsite.

⦿ Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you'll bring

Must-haves:

⦿ Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring extensive wrist, arm, and shoulder use.

⦿ Good hand/eye coordination essential for precise mold operation.

⦿ Upper body strength and knowledge of proper lifting techniques.

⦿ Willingness and ability to operate both mold and core automated machines.

Nice-to-haves:

⦿ Basic understanding of foundry operations and materials used in sand molding.

⦿ Experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.

⦿ Familiarity with quality control processes in casting or molding.

⦿ Commitment to continuous improvement and safety culture.
