Job Description
Job Title: Machine Operator / Wire Harness Assembly / General LaborLocation: Elkhart, INPay Rate: $19.00/hourSchedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
Job Summary:We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator with experience in wire harness assembly and general production labor. This role involves operating machinery, assembling wire harness components, and supporting overall manufacturing operations to ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing machines safely and efficiently
- Perform wire harness assembly according to detailed specifications and quality standards
- Conduct general labor duties to support production flow and facility needs
- Inspect products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company requirements
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with material handling, packing, and basic production support tasks
- Report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Wire processing and/or wire harness assembly experience preferred or required (as applicable)
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
- Computer literate (basic data entry or system use)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
