Job Description
Okie Staffing is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead and manage daily operations within a busy precision manufacturing environment. The supervisor will oversee machinists, programmers, and support staff to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met.
This leadership role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, shop floor management, and team development. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machine shop personnel including CNC machinists and set-up operators
- Plan and schedule production to meet customer deadlines and maintain efficiency
- Ensure adherence to quality standards including blueprint and GD&T interpretation
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Develop and mentor team members through training, coaching, and performance management
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues
- Monitor equipment maintenance and oversee preventative maintenance programs
- Drive continuous improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate production and personnel records
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, manufacturing processes, and machinery
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and inspection documentation
- Experience managing and motivating teams in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Basic computer skills including production scheduling and reporting software
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and production issues effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
- Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing preferred
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus
Benefits
Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Monday – Friday
Chickasha, OK
Pay Rate: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience level.
