Job Description
The Machine Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently operating the machine(s) in their assigned area per company standards, specifications, and policies as well as executing all tasks in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to the Production Supervisor and effectively operate, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic preventative maintenance to the machinery in the assigned area.
- Must safely and efficiently manufacture products at the highest possible output, maintaining the high standard of quality expected by our customers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Will make product changes efficiently, maintaining a smooth uninterrupted flow of product.
- Must perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and act as a first line defense for process, mechanical, and technical issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the production line in your assigned area.
- Perform quality tests on products using specialized lab equipment.
- Will adhere to established quality and environmental standards to identify and mitigate/escalate quality or environmental risks/issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or minimum of 1 year work experience in a manufacturing, aggregate, or industrial setting
- Prior machine operating and automated equipment experience
- Possess a mechanical mindset, ability to use basic hand tools, and powered industrial equipment.
- Proficient with computers and have familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Strong desire to grow with the company and train/develop new hires
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and/or up to 120 pounds with another person
- Must be fine working alongside moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and workspace restrictions.
PAY:
- Pay starts at $21.50 to $22.50 depending on shift
HOURS:
- 6am-6pm or 6p-6am on a 2-2-3 schedule
