Starr Boiler and Machinery Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is open to candidates based in VA and MD. As a Machinery Specialist, you will play a crucial role in conducting boiler and pressure vessel inspections and ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' machinery and equipment. Risk Assessment capability is a plus.
A successful candidate will have a valid VA, MD, or DE driver's license. An NB commission with "IS" endorsement or the ability to obtain a NB commission within 12 months of hire is required. Experience in conducting jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels and commissions in VA, MD, and DE are a plus.
The candidate will be a well-motivated self-starter with good organizational skills and excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels. They will have a proven ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory. They will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They will be capable of performing internal boiler examinations, requiring physical capability and attention to detail. They will be able to communicate effectively with all levels of client management, providing clear and concise reports and recommendations. They will be capable of conducting jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. They will have good knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and jurisdictional regulations.
