Job Description
The Machinist / Fixture Builder will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to create precision parts and fixtures. This position requires reading blueprints and technical drawings, understanding machining processes, and ensuring that fabricated parts meet specifications and quality standards.
Key tasks include:
- Utilizing lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines to create components.
- Fabricating and assembling jigs and fixtures to support production needs.
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to develop efficient machining processes.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspection of machines to ensure optimal performance.
Mazak (Mazatrol Programming) Mill Experience is a plus!
Requirements
Previous experience in machining and welding is a must.
All tools and equipment are provided by the company. Candidates must supply their own safety shoes. Applications are accepted in person at 1201 E 28th St, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
