Full-time Machinist
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, set-ups, and G&M code programming. This position requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience
Candidates should have between 5 to 30 years of work experience in machining, with a strong focus on CNC operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
- Set up machines for production runs, including tooling, work-holding devices, and raw materials
- Program CNC machines using G&M code, making necessary adjustments and optimizations
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
- Perform quality control checks and maintain precise tolerances throughout the manufacturing process
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and product quality
- Train and mentor junior machinists as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Document work processes, production data, and quality control results
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5-30 years of experience in CNC machining
- Proficiency in CNC machine operation, set-ups, and G&M code programming
- Strong understanding of machining principles, metalworking, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with various materials, including metals, plastics, and composites
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools and gauges
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and ISO standards
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications preferred
