Job Description
Description: Onsite Shift: 2:45 pm- 12:45 am Purpose Statement Responsibilities include assignment planning, layout, setup, operating, and making tool adjustments for a variety of conventional or automatic machines. Works from blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances. May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions. Key Responsibilities " Reviews job packages by reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches,s or drawings to identify design impracticalities and begin to formulate a production process. " Clarifies design feasibility issues with engineers to ensure parts are machined to meet specifications. " Determines sequence of operation, number and type of cuts required, and method of set-up. " Prepares parts for machining, programs computer and milling machines, and operates variety of manual and automatic machines. " Monitors parts through production by visual observation and referencing blueprints to ensure products meet specifications.a " Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machines. " Repairs malfunctioning shop equipment and machines. Quality System Requirements In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. Required Experience 1-3 years of machinist experience OT required
