Machinist II - Entry Tool Room
3rd Shift: Sunday- Thursday, 11pm- 7am
Duties:
- Provides repair, reconditioning, and regular maintenance to tooling and fixtures.
- Utilizes computer controlled machining lathes, grinders, polishers, and EDMs to resurface and repair press dies and other fixtures.
- Follows all safety guidelines for tooling repair equipment and utilizes Lock Out Tag Out procedures when necessary to ensure safe setup of the equipment.
- Selects the appropriate machinery for repairs and follows all safety policies and procedures associated with that equipment.
- Provides Operator Level PM on the Tool Room equipment and functionally tests all repairs before releasing the Tools/Fixtures to production.
- Utilizes blueprints and schematics to setup the machines for a repair.
- Performs detailed inspection of tooling to troubleshoot concerns with the finished products.
- Utilizes Scopes, Optical Comparators, and Keyence measuring devices to aid in troubleshooting and repair.
Requirements:
- Must have High School diploma or GED.
- 2 or 4 year Technical Degree preferred.
