Maintenance Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our client's team in the light industrial/manufacturing sector. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring equipment is delivered on time and according to operational demands, increasing the utilization and efficiency of assets, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities as assigned by the Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Technician.
• Work under the direct supervision of Technicians or Maintenance Supervisors.
• Perform low-level, noninvasive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure that assigned equipment is maintained according to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the Division, the relevant maintenance programs, and standard work.
• Adhere to transactional discipline within TLM business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs, and equipment maintenance performance history.
• Comply with Division TLM standards.
• Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives, and remedial work plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
• Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of maintenance tasks and processes.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with TLM standards and practices.
