Maintenance Associate

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Property Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Associate to join our residential property team. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of the apartment community while providing excellent service to residents.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and appliance repair
- Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Prepare apartment homes for new residents (turns/make-readies)
- Perform daily trash pick up
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) and pool maintenance (if applicable)
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds, common areas, and maintenance shop
- Follow safety standards and company policies
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies as assigned by Property Manager
Skills:
- Proven experience as maintenance associate
- Strong working knowledge of general maintenance duties including drying walling, painting, etc.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Good physical condition and strength
Qualifications
- 1 year of maintenance experience (apartment or residential preferred)
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
- HVAC/EPA certification is a plus!
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
