Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Maintain resident apartments, common areas, and exterior grounds.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
- Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, fire codes, and OSHA standards.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, generators).
- Immediately address safety hazards and report concerns.
- Assist with emergency preparedness and response as needed.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Experience in assisted living, healthcare, or senior housing.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards seniors.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift and move safely as required.
- Understand and practice standard precautions at all times.
- Must pass background check.
