Job Description

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

WORK WEEK: 40 hours per week or as needed to accomplish tasks.

WAGE CLASSIFICATION: Hourly

OSHA RISK CLASSIFICATION: High

SUMMARY POSITION STATEMENT

The purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance to the Facilities Manager in maintaining interior, exterior, and PCHS properties as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

Manual labor support for Facilities Manager.
Demonstrate proper use of equipment and supplies.
Effectively communicates on a regular and timely basis.
Provides janitorial support as directed.
Makes (or facilitates) repairs as directed.
Provides grounds keeping for all seasons as directed.
Other duties as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

Builds skills on building related functions.
May work with 3rd party vendors in completing tasks if directed.
Identify and report major repair needs to Facilities Manager.
Maintain operational standards consistent with regulatory requirements of PCHS.
Represent the organization in a positive way.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience: General job skill experience.

Job Requirements:

Possess basic understanding of OSHA
Willing to learn basic skills of electrical, plumbing, other commercial building systems, and carpentry skills.
Possess "people skills" and enjoy working in a health care setting.
Be able to operate computer system and possess basic computer skills.
Demonstrate the ability to analyze maintenance needs and offer creative improvements.
Demonstrate initiative and responsibility.
Active driver's license is required.
Tools and equipment will be provided by the organization.
