About the Role
Legacy House of South Jordan is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee the safety, functionality, and appearance of our assisted living community. This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong technical skills and a heart for serving seniors.
As Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for maintaining building systems, managing repairs, overseeing preventative maintenance, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations for the community and grounds
- Perform and coordinate general repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc.)
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Remove snow and maintain safe walkways during winter months
- Manage and monitor maintenance budgets in collaboration with the finance team
- Respond to on-call maintenance needs as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facility maintenance or construction
- Strong working knowledge of light plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, painting, and general repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently
- Experience managing maintenance budgets preferred
- Strong customer service mindset
- Compassion and respect for working with elderly residents
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with participation in an on-call rotation
