Maintenance Intern

We are seeking a talented, energetic students to join the Maintenance team in our Byhalia, MS location as a Maintenance Co-op. Duration for this role would be for 16 months (May 2026 - August 2027).

The hourly pay rate for this salary is between the range $21-$25. Compensation for this co-op position is determined based on the student's academic program, year of study, relevant work experience, job responsibilities, and work location.

What you will be doing:

• Support maintenance function Mechanical, Electrical and PLC Automation.
• AutoCAD and SolidWorks to prepare engineering drawings
• Follow up with suppliers
• Create SAP parts and PO's
• Manage Laser sign printing equipment
• Assist in the maintenance, updating and development of the Maintenance Department's Preventative Maintenance Program to minimize unplanned downtime of equipment and assets
• Assist the Maintenance Department to administer work orders to ensure that equipment is received for planned preventative maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns
• Tracking downtime data to identify root cause and implement corrective actions
• Investigate alternative plant improvement options
• Assist in tracking project related timelines

What you bring:

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary program in Engineering
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Team player
• Ability to provide input and collaborate on projects with other team members
• Multitasking skills
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and Project)
