Job Description
- Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming maintenance materials and spare parts
- Maintain accurate inventory levels within the FIIX CMMS system
- Track parts usage against work orders and purchase parts as needed
- Perform routine cycle counts and participate in physical inventories
- Identify obsolete, excess, or critical spare parts and communicate recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure storeroom environment
- Ensure proper storage practices (FIFO, environmental controls, kitting where applicable)
- Establish and maintain standardized labeling and bin locations
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate purchasing of maintenance parts and supplies
- Create or support purchase requisitions for stocked and non-stocked items
- Track open purchase orders and follow up with vendors
- Verify correct parts, quantities, and documentation upon receipt
- Coordinate returns, warranties, and repairable spare processes
- Assist in identifying critical spares and establishing min/max levels
- Provide feedback to maintenance planners on usage trends and lead times
- Support equipment shutdowns, outages, and emergency repairs
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and assist maintenance mechanics as needed
- Critical spare parts are available when needed, reducing downtime
- Inventory accuracy is high and CMMS data is reliable
- Storeroom operations are organized, efficient, and inspection-ready
- Maintenance planners and mechanics view you as a trusted operational partner
- Opportunities for cost savings and process improvement are proactively identified
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or storeroom operations
- Experience using a CMMS or inventory management system
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. occasionally
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting maintenance or reliability teams
