Job Description

MAINTENANCE LEAD (ELECTRICAL)

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled Maintenance Lead with ELECTRICAL abilities in Baytown, TX. In this high-impact and dynamic role, you will be responsible for leading electrical and mechanical upkeep in a shop, driving preventative maintenance, and ensuring peak operational efficiency alongside the plant manager. In a Maintenance Lead (Electrical) job youll be responsible for:

Repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical production machinery (cutting, packaging, and processing equipment).
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose equipment issues rapidly.
Managing maintenance inventory tracking, leading parts procurement, and connecting with electrical/mechanical vendors.
Tracking preventative maintenance schedules to minimize emergency downtime.
Coordinating and overseeing specialized external industrial technicians and electrical contractors.
Handling light building maintenance and general shop support as needed.

What youll need:

Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting background and technical proficiency with schematics and industrial controls.
High personal accountability and a hands-on "get the job done" mindset tailored to a small shop environment.
Proven background in a machine shop, wood shop, or light manufacturing environment.
