About the Opportunity:
Are you a skilled maintenance professional who thrives on the shop floor? We are partnered with a reputable, industry-leading manufacturer in North Central Iowa looking for a Maintenance Manager to oversee our hydraulic component production plant. This is not a desk job. We need a "working leader" who can lead from the front, troubleshoot complex machinery, and mentor a small, dedicated team of 2–3 maintenance technicians. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Team: Manage, mentor, and schedule a small team of 2–3 maintenance technicians.
- Hands-on Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on complex CNC manufacturing equipment.
- Read Schematics: Interpret complex blueprints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams to isolate faults quickly.
- Drive Improvement: Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize plant downtime.
What We Are Looking For:
- The "Working Leader" Mentality: Deeply comfortable dividing your time between team management and hands-on technical repairs on the shop floor.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with CNC equipment troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics).
- Leadership History: Prior experience managing a small technical or maintenance team.
- Location: Ability to work full-time on-site at our manufacturing facility in North Central Iowa.
