Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic | $30-$35/hr | Milton area of Vermont

Gpac is working with a well-established food manufacturer that is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic at their facility in the Milton area of Vermont.

Job description:

Looking for a responsible / reliable individual with mechanical experience. This individual would work with our maintenance team and aide in set up, operation, and troubleshooting of machinery on our food processing / packaging lines.

This is a key role to help support the efforts in keeping our state-of-the-art equipment running and performing during production.

Required Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical failures.
• Safe operation of powered forklift (experience encouraged)
• Ability to legibly and accurately complete records.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact professionally with other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Operate production line equipment including tray packer and labeler if needed
• Clean & maintain machines to FDA standards
• Inspect equipment on a routine basis and report any malfunctions or wear and tear to supervisors
• Adhere to and help communicate company safety policies.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety policies, and all other company policies.
• Assist team in improving quality and efficiency through continual development of operational techniques that minimize product and packaging waste and maximizes product quality.
• Assist Supervisor in building a strong team taking responsibility for production crew during Supervisor’s absence or upon request and performing other duties on the line as necessary.
• Must be able to have fun and work hard in a fast paced work environment

• 4-Day Work Schedule- Monday – Thursday, approx. 8:00am – 6:30pm. (Shifts may very based on position)
