Job Description
Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a maintenance mechanic position at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The maintenance mechanic keeps the building and equipment in good repair by repairing a variety of machines, equipment and building functions.
The hours are 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The salary is based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis recommended by machine manufacturers and needs
- Program shop floor equipment
- Evaluate and select new equipment to support the manufacturing process including ROI analysis
- Set up and adjust machines as needs dictate
- Responsible for spare parts inventory on production equipment
- Layout and set-up of changes involving power, air water and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years heavy mechanical background
- Ability to set up, operate and repair industrial machinery
- A working knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical and pressurized air systems
- Computers skills, including Microsoft Office
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
