Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our 2nd Shift (2:30 -11:00 p.m.). This role is critical to ensuring our equipment and facilities operate efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement effective repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations in maintenance processes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in maintenance or industrial mechanics are a plus.
- Skills: Basic industrial math to include metric system of weights and measurements. Ability to use micrometer. Working knowledge of bore gauging and dial indicators.
