Job Description

Maintenance Seasonal – Botanical Conservatory GardenerHOURS: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Tue.–Sat. (flexible)

Do you love working with plants and creating beautiful gardens? Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy being outdoors while supporting a team?

What You'll Do

Maintain garden beds: planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, watering, and seasonal display changes
Support volunteer horticulture crews and assist full-time staff with day-to-day garden operations
Perform general grounds work: edging, sweeping, litter/debris removal, and supply transport
Safely use equipment and chemical agents under supervision, including small machinery and pesticides
Assist occasionally with greenhouse production, facility upkeep, and event set-up/tear-down

What You Bring

At least 18 years old with three years of high school completed
Experience in gardening, landscaping, or related work preferred
Ability to safely operate one-ton trucks, small utility trucks, or large delivery vans
Works well independently and in a team, maintains neat appearance, follows oral and written instructions
Strong communication skills

Certifications & Licenses

Valid Indiana Driver's License
