Service Technician - Waveland, Mississippi

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Community Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property, including but not limited to:

Completing all service requests promptly (within one business day when possible)
Performing make-ready/turnkey work for vacant apartments, including repairs, painting, and lock changes
Managing pool care, landscaping, and grounds maintenance
Conducting preventive maintenance to protect equipment and property assets
Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance issues
Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked maintenance shop
Participating in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24-hour emergency maintenance

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must meet the following requirements:

HVAC or EPA certification (Required)
Minimum 2 years of related maintenance experience in a multi-family, commercial, or residential environment
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC troubleshooting and repair
Basic proficiency in electricity, plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, appliance repair, and irrigation systems
Pool operation and maintenance experience preferred
Ability to work on-call and respond to emergencies as needed

Physical Demands

Lift objects up to 75 lbs.
Bend, stoop, and twist into small areas as required
Perform overhead work for extended periods during repairs
