Maintenance Superintendent

Location: Jackson, MS Area

Shift: 2nd Shift - 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM 

Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000 + Performance Bonus

Relocation: Full Relocation Package Available

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Maintenance Superintendent to lead their overnight engineering and maintenance operations. This role is critical for ensuring the continuous reliability of high-speed production lines within a temperature-controlled food manufacturing environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Oversee a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors during the overnight shift, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.

• Operational Continuity: Manage all emergency repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize downtime during peak production hours.

• Capital Projects: Assist in the implementation of equipment upgrades and facility improvements.

• Budget & Inventory: Manage departmental spending and ensure essential spare parts inventory is maintained to prevent prolonged outages.

• Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities meet USDA, FDA, and SQF standards for food safety and sanitation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; a Technical Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: 5+ years of maintenance experience within a Food Manufacturing or Industrial Processing environment.

• Management: 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven track record of mentoring technical teams.

• Process Oversight: Deep understanding of Refrigeration Systems (Ammonia/CO2), high-speed packaging, and PLC-controlled equipment.

• Specific Skills: Proficiency in CMMS software for work order management and a strong background in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
