Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor leads and develops the maintenance organization supporting a high-mix, CNC-based accessories manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for establishing disciplined maintenance systems that support equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance. The Maintenance Supervisor provides overall leadership and direction for the maintenance team while partnering closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to advance preventive maintenance, reliability, and long-term capability. Day-to-day execution on the floor is supported by senior technical leadership within the team, allowing the supervisor to focus on development, systems, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage the maintenance organization supporting CNC machining and related manufacturing equipment.
- Establish and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering, incorporating manufacturer guidance and operational experience.
- Drive improvements in reliability, downtime performance, and maintenance-related KPIs including MTBF and MTTR.
- Provide leadership oversight for maintenance planning, scheduling, spare parts, and third-party service coordination through dedicated support resources.
- Ensure effective response, communication, and follow-up during significant downtime events or equipment issues.
- Maintain strong collaboration with Operations to align maintenance priorities with production needs and plant objectives.
- Promote a high standard of work execution, documentation, and accountability across the maintenance function.
- Support and enforce safe work practices and compliance with EHS programs, including LOTO and contractor safety.
- Recruit, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while addressing performance, training, and succession needs.
- Evaluate and improve maintenance systems, tools, and CMMS usage to support disciplined planning and execution.

Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience leading or supervising maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting CNC machining or discrete manufacturing equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems
- Demonstrated ability to improve maintenance effectiveness and reliability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred
- Experience developing or implementing preventive maintenance programs
- Familiarity with reliability concepts, root cause analysis, and CMMS systems
- Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technologies required. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing environment supporting CNC machining and metal forming operations. Regular shop floor presence required. Occasional extended hours may be necessary during critical equipment events.
