Maintenance Supervisor | Manufacturing | 2nd Shift Near Auburn, ALDirect Hire | Full-Time
Are you the person the maintenance team turns to when production goes down?
BlackRock Resources is hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a well-established manufacturing operation in Alabama. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who knows how to lead maintenance teams, troubleshoot equipment, reduce downtime, and keep production running safely and efficiently.
You’ll lead a team of approximately 10–20 maintenance employees while overseeing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and helping develop the technical skills of your team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead, coach, and develop a maintenance team of 10–20 employees
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities and prioritize work orders
- Respond quickly to production equipment breakdowns and downtime
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance programs
- Support production machinery, facility equipment, and spare parts inventory
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, boiler, and mechanical systems
- Ensure maintenance work meets company safety and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, USDA, and other applicable regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Partner with production and operations to improve equipment reliability and keep production on schedule
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–6 years of relevant industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
- At least 2 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
- Technical education in engineering, electronics, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred
- Journey-level knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and manufacturing equipment
- Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and boiler systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced production environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer applications
