Requirements & Skills:
- Currently holds or has the ability to get a Pipefitter, Machine Repair, or Millwright Journeyperson's card by:
- having served a bona fide apprenticeship and present certificate or
- had 8 years practical experience at the trade and can establish satisfactory proof by means of a notarized affidavit or
- present a UAW Journeyperson's card
- Ability to weld, fabricate, run torches
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
Primary Duties Include:
- Ability to make repairs on conveyor’s, production equipment
- complete preventive maintenance work such as inspecting and replacing belts, greasing bearings, tightening chains
- loading and unloading of maintenance material and equipment
- Perform plumbing and piping repairs
- perform maintenance on all piping systems and valves (compressed air, natural gas, domestic water, wastewater, process fluids, steam)
- Complete various repairs including toilets, sinks, and drains
- Maintain and repair machinery, pumps, valves, gearboxes, cylinders, torque tools riveters, and related equipment
changing hydraulic and gear oil
- Keep production running with minimal downtime
