Job ID: 3430-1 Job Title: Maintenance Tech Location: 949 Rosewood Drive, Columbia, SC 29201 Duration: 3 Months Pay Rate: $30-35/hr on W2 (Including all benefits) Shift: (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM [Lunch: Flexible - Flexible]) TITLE: Maintenance Tech REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: " This position is responsible for ensuring proper equipment upkeep, maintenance, and breakdown trouble shooting to ensure production requirements while also maintaining building needs. " Coordinates with supervisors and managers on breakdown repair of equipment. Upgrading of existing equipment by obtaining and presenting facts to Director of Operations for final approval. " Prioritize and schedule for specific equipment repairs. " Coordinate preventative maintenance program. " Assist department supervisors in reconstructing, moving, and installing new equipment according to plan. " Electrical issues from 24VDC control to 480VAC 3 ph industrial. " Address safety issues, replace burnt lights, check emergency lighting on a routine basis, lock out tag out program, electrical safety, confined space program. " Maintain and upkeep grounds outside the building, including snow and ice removal as needed. " Perform facility maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. " Keep stock of routine repair parts and shop supplies. " Other duties as required. EDUCATION: " Three years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required. " Three to five years in electrical work " High school diploma or equivalent with course work in skilled crafts or trades training. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: " Must be a hands-on person capable of working in a fast paced environment, while handling multiple projects at one time. " Must be able to use mechanical tools, electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, and be able to read blueprints. " Multi-craft technician " May require lifting of up to 100lbs. " Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred WORK ENVIRONMENT: " The noise level in the work area is normal for a factory environment. " The employee is working in a well-lit environment. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: " Abide by and conform to all company rules and policies. " Follow all safety directives and work in a safe manner. " Maintain good housekeeping standards around the work station " Know, understand, and follow quality procedures. " Accurately document your work as required by company procedures.
