Job Description
Direct HireE Mazak Mill, Mori Seiki lathe and Mill, Nakamura lathes used. We are seeking a skilled technician capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines and other industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, including hands-on experience with equipment and industrial electrical systems. This is not an HVAC or facilities maintenance role. Candidates with CNC machining experience will be considered, provided they have proven experience diagnosing and repairing machines during breakdowns. POSITION SUMMARY: With minimum guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of a complex scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: production equipment, diagnosing and repairing conventional and CNC machinery. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Remove, repair or relocate CNC machines; install air & water lines; align and adjust machines for production operation. Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, CNC machine tools, building plumbing, and related equipment. Construct, install, maintain, repair and overhaul test stands, fixtures and related hydraulic equipment. Set up and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment. Perform high-pressure tubing and hose fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications and contamination control. Plan, layout and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes and other carpentry. Assist in planning sequence of operations and methods to be used in overhaul and repair. Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation. Identify and repair CNC machine malfunctions. Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mechanical operations for proper operation. Use precision test equipment. May work with computers and computer software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets. As a specialized hazardous material technician, you may: Coordinate inventory and pickup of hazardous material and maintain the current inventory of on-site chemicals. Advise and assist in the clean up of chemical spills. Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for off-site disposal. Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shipped off-site. Initiate compliance inspections. Provide technical assistance on hazardous materials compliance and safe practices. Perform other related responsibilities. Job Requirements: Five years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities. May require proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace-associated equipment. Ability to work from blueprints and sketches. Possess required tools. May require the ability to set up and operate hand and power tools. May require working knowledge of national, state and local electrical codes. May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology, i.e. pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & piping; tube bending, piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications. May require knowledge of chemical properties. May require working knowledge of computers and computer software to operate programs, create reports, and spreadsheets. May require a Hazardous Material Handling Certificate Required to lift up to 50 pounds. May require forklift operator certification. Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.
