Position OverviewMaintenance Technician I trouble shoots electrical and mechanical systems within the plant. Maintenance Technician I will maintains production and facility equipment according to Company standards of safety and quality. Additionally, Maintenance Technician I supports an environment of continuous improvement by making and implementing suggestions.Areas of FocusMaintenance Technician I will follow the preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendation and industry accepted best practices for all plant equipment. Maintenance Technician I will comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE as well as understand and follow the Quality policy and Lean initiatives.Responsibilities•* Maintain equipment while performing basic mechanical and electrical repair work•* Notice and report any abnormal conditions/failures•* Perform machinery and basic equipment examinations and report to supervisors.•* Perform machine shop functions (sheet metal, steel layout and welding)•* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment•* Follow company policy, processes and action plans as it relates to all plant machinery•* Must follow and understand production daily goals and requirements•* Perform general housekeeping•* Understand and follow Work Instructions•* Detect and report defective materials•* Dispose of contaminated work materials in appropriate containers•* Follow and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene practicesBasic Qualifications•* High School Diploma or equivalent•* 6 months – 1-year experience in an industrial environment working within a maintenance (electrical) department as a Maintenance Electrician/ Technician•* Good writing and communication skills•* Basic understanding of MS Office (Word / Excel)•* Forklift Certifiedif you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
