Job Description
Maintenance TechnicianSanta Teresa, NM Summary:The Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and facility structures. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and maintain machinery and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and address potential issues
- Repair machines; install new or rebuilt parts
- Clean and lubricate mechanical components
- Repair/replace gauges, valves, regulators, and related equipment
- Maintain facility structures and equipment
- Operate machine tools (mill, lathe, grinder, drill)
- Perform cutting/welding tasks
- Fabricate or repair work surfaces and structures
- Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and suppliers
- Follow safety policies and report hazards
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use DVM for voltage, current, and resistance
- Able to read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical schematics & blueprints
- Basic PLC and machine control knowledge
- Strong problem?solving skills; able to work independently
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to maintain forklift, crane, aerial lift, and LOTO permits
- General knowledge of metal stamping and welding machinery
