DuPont's Valley View, OH is currently hiring to fill a Maintenance Technician, HVAC & Refrigeration role.

The Maintenance technician specializes in HVAC and refrigeration with the ability to service other manufacturing equipment and systems. In this role you will monitor and operate equipment and facilities, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. You will also perform basic maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and upkeep on a variety of manufacturing and facilities equipment.

This position is primarily located at the Valley View site but also provides occasional maintenance support for our Stow site when needed.

Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:

• Provide manufacturing operations support and perform preventive maintenance and repairs.

• Troubleshoot and repair facility related equipment.

• Specify and procure replacement parts.

• Follow oral and/or written instructions.

• Interact and communicate effectively in both oral and written form with diverse groups of people such as operators, management, engineers, and other maintenance personnel.

• Work as a self-managed individual, solve problems, and make appropriate decisions.

• Maintain work logs and machine documentation.

• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.

• Adhere to site safety procedures and site safe work permit process.

• Schedule and host outside contractors as necessary.

• Perform general computer work such as Microsoft Office.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance or maintenance technician role with experience working with HVAC and refrigeration equipment in a manufacturing environment.

• Diploma / certificate showing successful completion of postsecondary HVAC/refrigeration training from an accredited program or successful completion of a multi-year apprenticeship program required.

• EPA Section 608 Type II Certification or EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.

• State of Ohio Refrigeration and/or HVAC contractor license is desired but not required.

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment such as packaged roof top units, water chillers, water source heat pumps, chilled water and geothermal circulation loops, humidifiers, freezers, environmental controls, and ventilation/exhauster blowers.

• Knowledge of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of manufacturing machinery such as CNC machines, hydraulic presses, process ovens, and other general manufacturing machinery.

• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.

• Ability to operate a forklift and an aerial lift.

• Ability to perform basic pipe fitting: iron NPT, copper ProPress, and PVC

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480VAC.

• Ability to read and understand electrical wiring schematics, mechanical schematics, technical manuals, and vendor literature.

• Ability to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

• Available to respond to after-hours emergencies and/or off-hour business needs when required.
