Job Description
Equipment Maintenance Technician III Summary Equipment Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the bulk of maintaining equipment, documentation and training for the equipment area. Information Job levels T3 - SENIOR (FLSA NON-EXEMPT) Responsibilities Maintain appropriate documentation on machines and equipment Perform mechanical maintenance and adjustments for factory equipment and machines Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting, cleaning and adjusting processing equipment as needed Perform duties in compliance with quality and safety policies, procedures and guidelines Assist in training new staff for all positions Understanding of lock out/tag out procedures Create and maintain technical support documentation Use test equipment and diagnostic equipment to perform troubleshooting Competencies Concern for Safety- Level 3 Definition: Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment. Promotes a safe and healthy work environment. Identifies potentially hazardous situations that are not apparent to others. Enforces safety procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations. Analyzes complex situations, breaking each into its constituent parts. Evaluates alternative causes or ways of interpreting complex information. Identifies connections between situations that are not obviously related. Identifies gaps in information and makes assumptions in order to continue the analysis and/or take action. Problem Solving- Level 3 Definition: Identifying problems and their solutions. Identifies standard problems based on a range of factors, most of which are clear. Identifies alternate solutions, considering applicable precedents. Identifies optimal solutions based on weighing the advantages and disadvantages of alternative approaches.
