Indiana Printing and Publishing Company, Inc. is hiring for a Full Time Maintenance Technician!
Are you looking for a challenging career in a fast paced environment? Indiana Printing and Publishing Company, Inc. is hiring for a full time Maintenance Technician. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring all production and facility equipment operates reliably and efficiently. This job combines mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance duties focused on minimizing downtime for the printing and finishing equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and planned maintenance on production equipment (offset and digital presses, bindery machines, etc.) to prevent unexpected failures.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on various machines like presses, folders, and cutters.
- Equipment Upkeep: Perform cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs to optimize equipment performance and lifespan
- Facility Maintenance: Assist with general building maintenance tasks, which can include HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and general repairs to the plant and warehouse areas.
- Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment performance in a Computerized Maintenance Management System or maintenance logs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed following safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and using required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Inventory Management: Manage and monitor the inventory of spare parts and necessary maintenance supplies.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills
- Experience: Previous experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally with printing or packaging machinery.
- Diagnostics: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics for complex machinery.
- Tools Proficiency: Proficient use of common hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds or more.
- Personal Skills: Proven ability to be a team player who is punctual with good attendance.
