STEPS Recovery Solutions – Lafayette, LA
We have an opportunity for experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lafayette. We have an opening for a full time position. The full-time position that is immediately available is from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

You must have the following education, skills and experience to be considered:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of general maintenance, handyman, or facilities experience preferred
Working knowledge of plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, drywall, and basic HVAC systems
Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (travel between facilities required)
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor
Strong time management and organizational skills
Professional communication skills and ability to work respectfully in a behavioral health environment
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
If you join our team, you'll enjoy the following responsibilities:
Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients in recovery
Performing hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance across multiple facilities
Taking ownership of work orders and seeing projects through from start to finish
Assisting with facility improvements and small renovation projects
Supporting room turnovers to ensure new admissions feel welcomed
Traveling between locations to provide maintenance support as needed
Collaborating with leadership and staff to proactively address facility needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16 – $20 per hour, based on experience.
