Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, presses, mills, and facility systems. This Maintenance Technician role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional with experience in industrial maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and machinery repair.

The successful Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting safe and efficient production operations.

Responsibilities

• Observe presses, mills, and other production machinery during operation and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Calibrate temperature and hydraulic gauges on presses and monitor oven temperatures.
• Repair damaged mold platens and production tooling.
• Repair, modify, and maintain molds and machine tooling.
• Fabricate support items used in production, including knockout boxes, knockout plates, and similar components.
• Adjust and maintain functional machine parts, controls, and instrumentation.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.
• Order replacement parts and initiate purchase orders as needed.
• Assist with facility maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience required.
• Experience working with presses, mills, and manufacturing equipment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience repairing and modifying tooling and molds is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and components as required.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments.
