Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Kansas City, MO

Hours/Schedule: 2nd Shift TBDCompensation: $29/hour

Performs maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment to reduce downtime and support operational efficiency. This role troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems while ensuring compliance with safety, OSHA, and GMP standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on production equipment

• Troubleshoot machinery, PLC systems, and facility support equipment

• Inspect, test, and validate repairs; complete and document work orders

• Assist with equipment changeovers and line startups

• Maintain parts inventory and ensure equipment readiness

• Follow all safety procedures and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2–3 years industrial maintenance or mechanical/electrical experience

• Ability to lift 50–80 lbs and perform repetitive motions

• Comfortable climbing ladders, using lifts, and working at heights

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Able to work in non-air-conditioned environments and around oils, greases, and vibration
