Maintenance Worker - Lakewood School District Facilities

Job Description

Aramark is hiring a Maintenance Worker to support Facilities operations across the Lakewood School District. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance, repair, and special project work to keep school buildings safe, functional, and well maintained for students, faculty, and staff.

This position is well suited for a multi-skilled maintenance professional who is comfortable handling varied tasks, moving between school sites as needed, and supporting both routine repairs and special projects.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Shift Availability: AM and PM availability required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including:

• Doors, windows, and locks

• Minor appliance repairs

• Office and classroom equipment

• Flooring repairs and basic surface work

• Repair and replace fixtures and hardware as needed

• Assist with special projects, renovations, and school setup needs

• Move furniture, equipment, and materials between school buildings as required

• Inspect assigned areas and proactively address maintenance issues

• Complete daily, weekly, or project-based maintenance tasks as assigned

• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner

• Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude with school staff and coworkers

• Follow all Aramark safety policies, procedures, and district guidelines

• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
