Job Description
Position will be open until filled.
We are currently seeking:
A maintenance worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the abatement of growth restrictions, junk, and unsightly violations on private and public properties, additional duties as required in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning properties, removing junk, trash, and debris.
- Cutting tall grass, weeds, brush.
- Operation of push mowers, riding mowers, trimmers, chain saw, pole saw, and other specialized tools.
- Operation of light equipment, tractor with shredder, grapple bucket attachments, skid steer with attachments.
- Operation of pickup truck while pulling various size trailers.
- Performs maintenance and repairs within scope of authority, and in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures, reports safety hazards, equipment problems and emergency situations.
- Cleans and stores hazardous materials according to City policy and procedures.
- Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.

Requirements and Skills:
- Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Closely following verbal and written instructions and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; and one year of general work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Must possess a valid driver license with a good driving record.
- Applicants with an out-of-state driver's license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is performed outdoors in various conditions.
- Requires constant physical effort, and ability to push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
