Job Description

KAW NATIONPOSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE:                                              MAINTENANCE WORKER IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:       MAINTENANCE DIRECTORCONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: CHAIRQUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have general knowledge of lawn care, plumbing, and carpentry.  Knowledge of mechanical equipment and repair is preferred.  Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver License and be able to pass a drug test.  Applicant must be able to do heavy lifting.RESPONSIBILITIES:The employee will keep furniture, fixtures, and the physical structure of all buildings in good repair.  The employee will perform painting, carpentry, other maintenance duties, and make minor repairs to mechanical equipment. 
  1. Required to drive a vehicle.
  2. Provide carpentry work.
  3. Paints all surfaces according to instructions.
  4. Attends to all plumbing, sewer, heating, air conditioning, and roof repairs.
  5. Mends office furniture.
  6. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor for daily instructions and guidelines.
  7. Perform any other responsibilities related to maintenance as assigned by the immediate/controlling supervisor.
All new hires will be required by the Kaw Nation (post hire) to submit to an employment drug screen.  Failure to pass the post hire drug screen will lead to withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment.
